Upaṅgas

The entire body is divided into three parts namely Aṅga (major limbs), Prathyaṅga (minor limbs) and Upāṅga (sub minor limbs). There are twelve Upāṅgās. They are: Chakṣhu(eyes), Bhrū (eye-brows), Puṭa (eyelid), Thāra( eye ball), Kapola (cheek), Nāsikā (nose), Hanu( jaw), Adhara (lips), Daśhanā(teeth), Jihwā(tongue), Chubhuka(chin) and Vadhana( face). Some include Pārṣhṇi(heel), Gulpha ( ankle), Anguli(Fingers and Toes), Karathala(palm) and Pādha(feet) as part of the Upāṅga.
