If you are a music connoisseur or just a layman wanting to know the intricacies of Karnatic music – its grammar, basic notes, scales, Raga (musical scale) and famous composers and their compositions this is the course for you.
We at eAmbalam have designed a course combining both the textbook and audio-visual references. Starting from the seven basic notes: Sa Ri Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni Sa. These are taught to students in three different speeds – slow, medium, and fast. These seven combine into a range of permutations and combinations that form the Swaravalis, Jhantis, Alankaras before a student is ready for Geetam. The first geetam by tradition is always sung in eulogy of the elephant headed Ganesha – His grace is sought so that a student can dwell deeper into the complexities and mysteries of this genre.
Our course is filled with research articles and audio-visual files for an elementary introduction to the world of Carnatic vocal music.
