The last of the avathāras, Kalki is expected to appear at the end of Kali Yuga, the current time period. This avathāra will appear seated on a white horse with a sword blazing like a comet. It is believed that he shall finally come to destroy the wicked, to start new creation and to restore the purity of conduct in people’s lives.
