an abhyaasa musical form, which is helpful before learning varnam. It has pallavi, sometimes an anupallavi, and at least one caraNam. The themes are on bhakti, love, and courage. It is composition which usually has a pleasing melody and can be suitable for singing both in early lessons and in both musical and dance concerts
