Yathi

It is a rhythmic phrase that expands or contracts. The different groups of syllables are arranged into a beautiful combination that gives particular shape to music is called “Yathi”. Yathi is of six kinds. They are Samayathi, Viṣhama Yathi, Mrudhaṅga Yathi, Ḍamaru yathi, Gopuccha Yathi and Srothovaha Yathi.
