Sarali Varisai (Female Voice)
Sarali Varisai is the first part of the main Basic course in Carnatic music. The students undergo a rigorous training in the basics of Carnatic music under Sarali Varisai to strengthen their basics concepts of music. The practice of Saralivarisai (swaravali) will enable a student to have a firm grounding on Swarasthanas (position of musical notes) & Perfect Sruthi (pitch) alignment. The student will explore the Swaras (Musical notes) in three octaves and achieve a firm grip on the Rhythm or Laya. Students culture the voice with vocal exercises by singing all lessons in four speeds (4 kaalas) and specific voice culture exercisesin Akara, Ikara, Ukara, Ekara and Hmmkara.
Students are provided with high quality in depth step by step instructional videos, watching which they learn and present the same during one on one online class with the instructors helping them to enhance their learning. Audio downloads, Shruti downloads, Notations, Glossary and PDF’s are provided to help the students in their practice. Students will have online assessments at the end of every module.
