Ekadashi
Hindus and Sindhis observe fasting on this day and it falls on the 11 th day of a fortnight of lunar month. The word Ekādaśhi means11 in Sanskrit and it refers to the 11 th day of a fortnight and is also known Gyārah which means 11 in Hindi. On this day, the moon influences the tides and the moods of man. The moon influences the energy centers in the body of man called Chakras which tells upon the mind ultimately. On this day, mind find its abode in the eye brow center (Chakra) and the heart center (Chakra) as a result of which the mind concentrates and get collected easily. This day is considered to be effective for practicing deep meditation.
