Saraswati Puja
Saraswathi Pūjā is celebrated in the worship of Goddess Saraswathi. The Hindhu Goddess Saraswathi is always symbolized for wisdom, knowledge and learning. She represents Śhakthi, creativity and inspiration. This festival is observed on the first day of spring and it signifies the beginning of Vasantha Rithu. On this day, Goddess Saraswathi is offered with prayers and worshipped. The white swan of Saraswathi signifies purity and righteousness, while Dhevi Saraswathi is portrayed playing "Vīṇā", an Indian string musical instrument. The Goddess is attired in a white dress however yellow colour plays a dominant role in celebrations which marks the arrival of spring season. Pūjā is performed with all fresh flowers and wild berries, sandalwood, ghee, joss sticks, sandalwood and incense along with the sound of mantras, śhlokas, conch shells, and drums.
